Takeoff
Takeoff allows users to work straight from digital plan files instead of paper plans. Takeoff will import CAD, PDF, JPEG, TIF, GIF, once you’ve got your plans loaded set scale and start measuring. Users can copy, rotate, and “flip” structures, which comes in handy when your plans call for multiple alterations of the same structure.
Libraries
Takeoff libraries are easily created and up-dated. Estimators can be created libraries for a specific job or use the library from job to job. Coloured lines and custom symbols can be assigned to each description making measured items stand out on plan for future review
Plan Revision
If you measure plans, it is highly likely you have been forced to remeasure a takeoff due to design variations. PCMXs’ plan revision feature makes quick work out of this time consuming process. Estimators can overlay the original takeoff onto the revised plan and instantly see the difference. This is a huge time saver and eliminates the risk of doubling up on quantities.
Print to Scale
Print your takeoff plans to scale with PCMX print to scale feature. Provide time savings A-3 or A-4 size drawings to your site managers marked up for easy interpretation of estimated quantities or plan variations.
Notepad
The Notepad is a complete list of all measurements made in the Takeoff window. It provides the description, quantities, unit of measurements, and room to add any comments. With a couple mouse-clicks you can sort and subtotal items. All Notepad items are completely editable, and when you’re done, you can easily export your quantities to Excel or Access.
