Dashboard
PCMX personal Dashboard provides estimators, project managers, and owners with fast, graphical representation and drill-down access to pertinent information about proposals in process, bid details, win-loss statistics, and historical information. It’s a convenient way to make informed decisions quickly.

Catalogues
The Catalogue in ProContractorMX is where you can find historical pricing on cost items including materials, equipment, and labour. Unlike typical spreadsheets, it’s all stored in a central location for speedy workflow and multi-user collaboration. ProContractorMX also provides a wide range of estimating trade-specific price catalogues tailored to your particular type of work, including concrete, masonry, sitework, framing, plastering, residential, commercial and others. You can also create as many customized catalogues as you want, and there’s no limit to the size or number of catalogues, and unlimited cost items in each. So, archiving cost information by state or construction division is only limited by your imagination. For further time savings, ProContractorMX allows you to easily update pricing, materials, labour, and equipment using Global Updates. Simply make a change once and the system does the rest.

Estimating
The Estimate is where your bid comes together more easily than you might think possible. You’ll see all your quantities, measurements, and calculations from the takeoff – so no need to re-enter data. The seamless system keeps your processes moving along, and maintains accuracy so you avoid costly mistakes. Create cost breakdowns by the criteria of your choice, generate lists of cost items, and view subsets and subtotals of your estimate. Each estimate is made up of individual cost items, assemblies, and financial items, and it’s easy to add, change, and manage these items as you prepare your estimate. You can also save time by creating estimate templates with items you use regularly.

Building Information Modeling – BIM
If you have the ability to receive or generate Building Information Modeling (BIM) files, you can use ProContractorMX to easily import items from a design file and populate an estimate with cost items and quantities. Typically BIM uses real-time, dynamic building modeling software to increase productivity in building design and construction. Using this ProContractorMX functionality, estimators can save significant time by eliminating the process of taking off construction plans. Contractors really value the data sharing aspect of this feature that provides them the same BIM data that architects, engineers, and owners use for a job.

Alternates
Need Alternates in an estimate? ProContractorMX can do that too. Use alternates to negotiate for a leg up on other bidders and to identify profitable opportunities on a job. You can create and track alternates and select which should be added to the project cost.

Summary
The Summary screen is where you view your estimate’s subtotal costs and all your results – broken down into individual cost items or groups of cost items. Easily sort, filter, and organize using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) codes that you control, so you can review estimate data any way you like. This feature also allows you to set baseline costs and compare any changes in the estimate to the original BOQ costs.
